BEYOND CLINICAL CARE

Our mission extends beyond hospital walls. Through vaccination campaigns, maternal education programs, HIV prevention initiatives, and community outreach, we work to improve long-term health and dignity for the people of Bamenda.

We are grateful for institutional partners such as the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF), whose donation of 300 football kits supports youth development and community wellbeing.

A GLOBAL COMMUNITY OF MEDICAL SOLIDARITY

Over the years, Saint Maria Soledad Catholic Hospital has been strengthened not only through infrastructure and equipment, but through the extraordinary generosity of medical professionals and volunteers who have shared their expertise, time and compassion in Bamenda.

We express our deepest gratitude to each of them. Their contribution has directly strengthened the hospital’s capacity to care for vulnerable patients.

International medical collaboration includes specialists from Spain who support the hospital’s maternal and surgical programmes. Among them, Dr. Marcos Órdenes González, Head of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Hospital Ruber Internacional in Madrid and President of the Spanish association Amigos de Bamenda.

The 2026 Spanish Medical Mission brought together a volunteer team of 8 doctors, 1 nurse and 2 logistics coordinators.

Over the course of one intensive week, the team provided consultations, surgery, paediatric care, laboratory support and emergency treatment to hundreds of patients in Bamenda, Cameroon.
